Our Team
Naveed
My Name is Naveed, the owner of King’s Auto. Some of my earliest memories around cars are of my dad working at Mountain States Volkswagen and me going to work with him occasionally. The smell of the repair shop got imprinted on me. I have had a passion for cars since then.
King’s Auto Center was established in 1991 and my father purchased it in 2005. King’s had the virtues we cherished in an automotive repair shop. We were eager to continue and improve it along the way. My father had been in the automotive industry since the 1950’s and had worked every position between technician and service manager allowing him a holistic view of a well-run, automotive service center. I went to school in NYC, graduated with a BA in accounting and, combined with my love of cars, decided I would join my father in the business. I am fortunate to be able to work in an industry that I love.
My personal Interests include being in the outdoors, hiking, tinkering and rescuing obscure classic cars. I am also a father to a wonderful little girl who brings me great joy. She loves to drive with me in the convertible. Although my beautiful wife tells me I drive too fast when she is in the car 😊, we have a great time together too. There is also a new addition to our family, a puppy named Fluffy. Puppies are a lot of work, but so worth it!
One of the ongoing joys of being a part of King’s is being able to provide the kind of service to our clients that we would like to receive. What’s great is that it creates a positive atmosphere within the entire organization as well. Although there are always ups and downs, work is a very pleasant place to come to. On top of all that, I get to work for a place that aligns with one of my favorite hobbies - cars.
Adam
My name is Adam. I've been with King's Auto Center for 12 years. I was born in upstate New York and moved to Colorado in 2001. I spent 4 years in Steamboat skiing and then back to Fort Collins to finish my degree in Cultural Anthropology at CSU. I met my wife at school and we have been here ever since.
I started in the automotive industry because of a passion for motorsport and performance driving. I have a BMW M3 track car that gives me a lot of joy. I also enjoy helping people and that is what attracted me to King's. I get to learn, educate, and take care of my neighbors here.
Outside of work, I am an avid golfer, Sim-racer, and traveler. My favorite thing to do is go to different countries and learn the culture from the locals. It helps me expand my perception of the world and see the possibilities that we sometimes forget when we go through the daily routine.
The thing I love most about King's Auto is the way we work as a team to help each other and customers. Mechanical work involves a lot of hands on and mental fortitude. We all rely on each other to tackle problems and celebrate accomplishments. This team has been together for many years, and we are all responsible for King's success.
Jason
I was born in central Illinois. I met my then girlfriend, now wife, in 2011 and within a couple years we decided the corn fields weren't for us. We moved to Fort Collins in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the community.
My first car was a '74 Volkswagen Bus. I found it rotting in a farmer's overgrown field, gave him $350 and towed it home. My dad and I rebuilt it, top to bottom. It was a crash course in auto mechanics and helped me find my passion for vehicles, especially old rundown ones.
I love getting off-road and finding new ways to get stuck and break my '89 Cherokee :) I spend a lot of my weekends in Poudre Canyon fly fishing and exploring with our two Australian shepherds, Dug and Moose.
I have worked with King's for 7 years. We have a great crew that has been the same core group for many years. I've worked for other shops that are driven only by sales and my pay relied on selling anything and everything. King's focusses more on the customer and my pay is not affected by sales. It is much easier to honestly recommend services that are needed and not to upsell needless things.
Sam
Hi, my name is Sam and I've been with King's Automotive for over a year. I was born and raised in Wellington, Colorado and moved to Fort Collins in middle school.
When I was little, all I wanted to do was get behind the wheel. I remember watching the movie The Fast and The Furious as a kid and feeling a sense of wonder at the freedom that cars can provide. The first vehicle I ever drove was my grandpa's 1989 Ford Pickup with a standard transmission. After that I immediately fell in love with driving and quickly saved up to purchase my first car, a 2007 Volkswagen GTI
I have always been somewhat mechanically inclined and soon realized that I could perform maintenance on my own vehicle. The first job I ever did myself was just a regular oil change, but that was all it took to spark a fascination with the engineering behind automobiles.
Shortly after high school I got a job as a technician and worked in several shops for about 3 years.
While I was working behind the scenes as a technician, I found out that I enjoyed teaching people about proper car maintenance more than I enjoyed repairing the vehicles.
Utilizing my knowledge gained as a technician, I am now on the other side of the counter, teaching customers of King's Auto how to correctly care for their vehicles and always making sure they are safe on the road.
The thing I love most about King's Auto is that even though we're small, the positive impact we make on the community and our customers is massive.
Steve
My name is Steve. I am the shop foreman. I have worked with King's Auto Center for 13 years. I was born in Colorado and have lived here most of my life. I graduated from American Automotive and Diesel college in 1988. After I graduated, I moved to Riverside, CA to continue my career. I moved back 2 years later missing the mountains and people of CO. I finished my ASE Masters tests in 2001 and have been Master certified ever since.
Outside of work I enjoy learning Karate (Tae Kwon Do) to improve my physical and mental strength. I also camp in the summer with my family, enjoying the campfire at night and watching the stars. In my spare time I work with my hands, making fine jewelry, in which I get to utilize my associates degree from the Gemological Institute of America.
King's has always been a rock in my life. It's a dependable company and helps me maintain a stable personal life. I like that our team is always striving to do things better, to be better, and make changes to improve. I will continue to grow with King's while helping the company maintain the same quality I expect from myself.
Matt
My name is Matt, I have worked for Kings Auto Center for 7 Years. I was born in Minnesota, lived in Nebraska until I was 11 and have lived in Colorado ever since.
I started working on my own cars and family members' cars back in high school. I continued to work on different peoples' vehicles as a side business over the years, while having another full-time job, until I got an opportunity to be a mechanic for a company here in Fort Collins. Sadly, that company was shut down after only a year, but that's when I started at King's and have been here ever since. I am ASE certified.
Outside of work I like to take my ATV out for rides in the mountains or to PMI in Erie. I have a hobby of aquariums, just 2 fish tanks right now.
The thing I love most about Kings Auto is the comradery between team members. I hate the cliche of "we are family" but honestly that's what we have at Kings. There are many times that I have relied on other team members for help, as well as team members have relied on me.
Seamus
My name is Seamus. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs. I moved to Colorado in 2016 after marrying my high school sweetheart. We fell in love with the Colorado mountains and never looked back.
I've always had a passion for cars. In high school I took every shop class my school had to offer. After high school I attended the automotive program at McHenry County College. I started working at a Toyota dealership when I was in college and have worked in various shops ever since. I enjoy working with my hands and learning new things about cars every day.
In my free time I enjoy playing video games and going on hikes in the mountains with my wife. I also like to go snowboarding with my family when they come to visit in the winter. I also enjoy sampling all the beverages at the local wineries, breweries, and distilleries.
I really enjoy working at King's. Everyone is very helpful and team oriented. The work environment here feels very relaxed but also very productive. I look forward to a long career with King's.
