I am an out of state college student and the wheel bearings on my 2005 ford ranger blew up inside my hub. I had my truck towed to kings auto. They then gave me a quote for $3,600 and told me more was wrong than actually was. I had my roommate tow my truck home and Two of my roommates and I fixed everything they quoted me for plus some for $400 in parts in 3 hours. I believe they would have done good work but they tried to take advantage of me because of my age and situation. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. At King’s Auto, we take transparency seriously, which is why we provide digital inspections—including pictures and videos—so our customers can see exactly what we see. Our goal is to clearly explain any necessary repairs and ensure there are no misunderstandings. In your case, our inspection revealed additional damage beyond just the wheel bearings, which is why our estimate included more than the parts you and your roommates replaced. Our pricing reflects not only high-quality parts but also expert labor, a professional warranty, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing all issues have been properly addressed to prevent future failures. Our technicians make informed recommendations based on industry standards and experience, prioritizing safety above all else. While we understand that DIY repairs can sometimes be a more budget-friendly option, professional service ensures long-term reliability and safety. We never try to take advantage of anyone, and we’re sorry you felt that way. If you’d like to review the pictures and videos from your inspection or discuss any concerns, we’d be happy to go over everything with you. Your trust means a lot to us, and we’re always here to help. Sincerely, King's Auto Center
