They couldn't fix the brake lights. A simple plug push in. The brake fluid was green and I shouldn't drive on it until it was flushed (they were afraid to do it because my standards were too high). The brake fluid is great. There is a leak but they don't know where. Jiffy Lube said, "Hey, your gasket is leaking!" Didn't even have to ask. Just had it confirmed by a mechanic. Two minute diagnosis. The air in the pipe when starting is gone (no charge). Not by Kings, though I asked them about it. Just the tip of the iceberg. ? Why? Maybe because I told them I thought my last mechanic had ripped me off and could they please check what I thought had been done to it. Suddenly, they are smirking at me, threatening to put my car in the alley for me to pick up after harrassing me on the phone etc... Believe the one star reviews, ignore their sarcastic and self-righteous comebacks to the one-star reviews and ask yourself "would you respect an honest cop that covered for a dirty one? Would you do business with a high review company whose employees were in the Ku Klux Klan? Would you do business with a well-established Fort Collins company who did good work unless they decided not to. You might get good service, but not everyone does. Do you want to do business with a business like this?
Client was charged 1 hour of diagnostic for inoperable brake light electrical diagnostic. We were able to get them working in that time but part replacement is still necessary for a proper repair. Client was not charged for .5 hour courtesy inspection This is great opportunity to discuss expectations of both our clients and ourselves here at Kings. We do our best to communicate the proper expectation at check in by explaining that a diagnostic will require approval of 1 billed hour to start. If the diagnostic takes less time, we charge less. If the diagnostic will exceed the approved hour, we will contact the client to get further time approved. Diagnostics include noises, leaks, check engine lights, driveability issues, suspension, electrical problems etc... It is difficult to predict what it will take to find a problem and therefore, we use these parameters to manage expectations. Also, we normally perform a courtesy check while the vehicle is here for paid work. This is a free service and not charged to the client. It is a thorough inspection of the vehicle but not a diagnostic. As for our expectations from the clients we service, it is our hope that we are treated with reciprocal respect, kindness, compassion and gratitude. Although we are in business to succeed financially, we are simply people, neighbors, friends and community members trying to enjoy our daily interactions with others. A relationship with another person is much more important to us than any vehicle ever will be. It is the root of why we do what we do- help people when they need it.
