Long, long overdue review to these guys. Helped me out with my Ford Escape, a significant overhaul of gaskets, tie-rods etc. When a slight error was made on their part, they admitted immediately and replaced some aging break lines for free. Very pleased with the service.

In college I brought my truck to a Midas to have the brakes looked at, they quoted me $2500 and told me they could not let my car off the rack because it was unsafe. I called the police and they released my car. I took it to Kings Auto and they did the same work for under $500. Flash forward 15 years, I purchased a car from the dealership and had my service done at the dealership. When I brought it in for service recently they destroyed my cylinder head and wanted $5000 to fix it. I released my car to Kings, where I should have brought it initially, and they did the work for $700 which included a $500 kit that I had to purchase. They completed the work in one day and offered to send me a residual every time they use the tool in the future. I would recommend Kings to any and all for service or just advise as they are more than willing to help everyone.

These folks are very genuine, kind, knowledgeable, and are always trying to save us time and money. Best shop in town

To be fair, this is the only Auto Shop I have gone to in Fort Collins - they had a great coupon in a coupon book when I was a student so I used it, and have been going back ever since. My favorite story about King's is when I came in for an oil change, and they sent me home saying I had only driven 1000 miles since I was last in for an oil change. Incredible!!! It was very refreshing to find an auto shop that is not trying to rip you off. They never try to push any service/maintenance on me - they are very honest about what repairs are important, how important they are, how long you can go with out it, etc. Be on the look out for their coupons - they also give student discounts ;).

Super nice guys who are super easy to deal with and straightforward about the work that (may) need to be done.

Upon hearing a terrible squeaking in reverse on my truck, I went to kings to have it diagnosed. Initially they were going to charge a full hour of labor, but finished the diagnosis early so thy charged me a half hour. The issue was in my drive shaft and u-joints. Hearing this, I immediately thought my repair would be over a grand, yet it was only slightly over $200. Upon picking my vehicle up, King's informed me that they didnt have to replace one of my u-joints, reducing the price to just over $180, all things included. It is not often that you hear about a mechanic that REDUCES the price on a repair, but King's did all they could to help me out. Best customer service experience I've ever had with a mechanic by far. They have my business so long as I'm in Fort Collins.

Good job and reasonable price!

I have taken all my cars here for the past few years. They have always been very kind and professional. EVERY TIME they quote me a price it's that price! I have never had to use the warranty they include on most jobs because they do it correctly the first time. I would recommend them to anyone!

I used King's for my Toyota once. They did the work they said in the time they quoted and the fix was satisfactory. These guys know Toyotas but the price was higher than an identical repair a friend had at a different shop.

I initially had a great experience here and was really happy to have found an auto place I liked. However, my most recent experience totally soured me on the place and I don't think I will be returning. I needed repairs to my car that would take the better part of a day and I didn't want to miss work to do them, so I arranged to leave my car with them while I was away over Thanksgiving. They assured me the work would get done and that I could pay over the phone and that they would leave the car out so I could pick it up when I got back since it was after they closed. However, when I got to there to pick up my car, it wasn't there. They had it locked in the back still. I spoke with someone not once, but TWICE very specifically about leaving it out, but instead they totally screwed me over. I was over an hour late to work the next day because of their mistake, and they did not handle it well either. They basically made me feel like the mistake was on my end and then gave me a very minimal discount on an expensive bill, which did not even cover the cab fees I had to pay to get to and from the shop since my car was still there. I didn't give them one star only because I thought my previous experience with them was great. I really can't recommend them anymore though-- when a business tells me they are going to do something, I expect it to be done. The fact that they couldn't keep track of a simple request and then wouldn't even really own up to their mistake is just unacceptable in my book.

The issue the client is referring to was an unfortunate miss-communication and we take full responsibility. We had told the client the car would be ready for pick up when she returned from her trip. It was ready on time, but we had failed to call her for payment to release the car on the day she desired. Because of the large volume of cars being dropped and picked up during the Thanksgiving holiday, we did not remember to communicate with her for payment and pick-up procedure. We do apologize for the large inconvenience and also making her feel as if the mistake was hers. We just assumed she would have called to make the payment before picking up. But again, We should have made the call to her. We did discount the ticket to help with the inconvenience. We are also willing to help with the cost of the taxi. Please give us a call and we will be glad to accommodate you. We try to do our best here at Kings and take it seriously when we do not. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
